The World Selection Committee is an international body which evaluates and selects athletes for the Olympic Games. It meets three times a year to consider applications. The committee will disqualify athletes who do not meet the criteria. If they are disqualified, they will not be able to compete in the Olympic Games for four years.
The World Selection Committee consists of at least five members from different countries, one from each sport. Each member must be an expert in their field. The World Selection Committee will then make recommendations to the Olympic Committee. The athletes chosen by the World Selection Committee must meet specific criteria and be considered the best in their country. If they do not meet these criteria, they will automatically be disqualified for four years.
